Course Overview
Power cables are essential components in the power system that ensure the safe and efficient transmission of electricity from one point to another. One of the key importance of cables is safety. These Cables are designed to handle high levels of current without overheating or causing electrical hazards. Cable terminations and joints form the weakest link in any distribution system. Also, a failed joint in an underground distribution system is much more difficult to locate and repair This means that we should do our utmost to achieve a good joint or termination, which can give years of trouble-free service. The quality of a joint or termination depends to a large extent on the skill of cable jointer/splicer.Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course. Participates will be aware with:-- Electrical cable importance ,types ,construction and application
- Cables system Laying
- Cable system design
- Termination of the power and control cables
- Cable splicing ( Jointing ) different techniques
And Participates will be able to:-
